The second dart technique is the grip. The dart should be gripped neither too tightly nor too loosely. More tightly held dart takes more effort to throw. If the knuckles of the player are turning hit due to the strain of holding it is a sign to loosen up a bit. More tightly held dart is worse then more loosely held one.

The third dart throwing technique is the hand-dart coordination. Always use three fingers to hold the dart. If your fingers are making a fist, little finger touching the other four fingers than this means disaster. Never make a fist. Longer darts require use or more fingers accordingly. Smaller darts are worked with three fingers.

Last but not the least is the choice of barrels. For each player there is a suitable size, thickness and shape of the barrel. There are hundreds of types of darts with different barrel size and shape available in the market. Choose what’s suitable for you. It makes a huge difference.

Another one of the dart throwing techniques is the stance. It is known as the ‘right foot forward’ stance. It requires for the thrower to place the eye, the target and the dart in line. This two dimensional placement of the components increases the accuracy and convenience for the player.

The most important component of the proper dart throwing technique is the throw. During and before the throw the distribution of the weight should be bought into consideration as it is a chief factor that controls your bodily stability. One foot should be place forwarded than the other. Most of the weight should be on the forwarded foot and it should be kept firmly on ground at all times. Keep in mind that the backward foot should be placed as such that It balanced your posture and keeps it rigid. The more the body leans towards the board the more the strain the back has to bear. This disturbs the posture and balance of the body and decreases accuracy. Better suited posture and leaning extent is found through practice. Lifting you leg up in the air is discouraged as it. It disturbs the balance and ruins the aim. Even while throwing body should be kept still and only arm should be moved. More you move your body the more it shakes your position and ruins the stance.
